  Notes	Bartholomew's Sponsors for his Baptism were Bartholomew Hammeland Ursula Kloeppel. Baptism was held in the Visitation Church or Holy Trinity Church in Brinktown. Do not know which because Brinktown was a Mission Church and all records were kept in the Visitation records. Brinktown only received a permanent pastor15 Oct. 1891. Bartholomew along with his family traveled from Missouri to New Mexico by wagon train in 1905. They arrived in Encino, Torrance Cty, New Mexico. After spending two years trying to farm this dry, rugged land the Kloeppels Moved to Alameda, then on to Bernalillo. At this time Bartholomew stayed in Alameda and chicken-farmed. Bartholomew also worked for the Santa Fe. Rail- Road from Moriarty to Lamy to Bernalillo.Bartholomew is now married to Gertrude Brendell. At this time of his life he was living in Silver City, New Mexico.Bartholomew worked hauling gold and silver from the minds in the Muggy Owns with his 20 mule team. A few years later, his family in Bernalillo talked him into moving to Bernalillo. He and Gertrude and their small son (Louis) moved to Bernalillo but,Bartholomew kept his job at the minds in Silver City. He was now home with his family in Bernalillo only on weekends. I'm sure these must have been hard times for both Gertrude and Bartholomew. Reference Number: 6021
