1920 census has a Jemina Carruth residense in the State Mental Hospital of Utah
There are several stories concerning James and Jemimah. One is that they did not get along very well and were either separated or divorced. At some point Jemiimah went to live with her father taking the second son David with her. No record of divorce has been found. The other is that Jemimah drove the wagon which carried James casket to the burial ground. On the way she was thrown out of the wagon and her head was run over by the wagon. She spent much of her remaining life in the mental hospital in Provo, UT.
