- JEAN DERSTINE Jean K. Derstine, 83, of Franconia Twp., died April 25, 2006 in the emergency room of Grand View Hospital. She was the wife of Stanley N. Derstine for 61 years. Born in Telford, she was a daughter of the late Horace A. and Mayme (Keller) Price. She graduated from Souderton High School. Jean worked at the former Schoenemans Clothing Co., Souderton, in her younger years. She was a former member of Hatfield Church of the Brethren and a member of Penn Valley Grace Brethren Church, Telford. Jean volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was proud of learning to swim in her later years. She loved going out to lunch with her sisters and friends. She enjoyed riding her bike and taking walks before she became ill. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Lou Freed and her husband, John, of Souderton; three sons, Murray Todd Derstine and his wife, Beth, of Telford, Robbie Jay Derstine and his wife, Sherry, of Pennsburg and Jamie Scott Derstine of Collegeville; seven grandchildren, Eric Shawn Freed, Amy Beth Godshall, Katrina Joy Frydlewicz, Danielle Rae Hollingsworth, Tiffany Marie Derstine, Stephanie Lynn Derstine and Randy Jay Derstine; and three great-grandchildren, Lizzie Hollingsworth, Connor Godshall and Naidia Frydlewicz. She was preceded in death by a brother, Horace K. Price, Jr.; a sister, Leila Bergey; and a grandson, John Randall "Randy" Freed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 AM, Saturday, April 29 at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, 667 Harleysville Pike, Franconia. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 AM. Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.
