- BIOGRAPHY: Robert Mohun (Moone) acquired large wealth, bought the manors of Loders, Maltravers and Fleet, lands in Baunton (Bothenhampton) and the manor of Maurgerton, Dorset, lands in Axminster, Devon that had been his father's and four burgages in Bridport. He was the searcher of Port of Poole and a burgess in Parliament for Bridport in 1558.
BIOGRAPHY: On the north wall of the chancel of the Church of the Holy Trinity, the parish church of Fleet, Dorset, there is (according to Hutchins, op. cit, Vol. 1, p. 546) a brass plate with thefigures of a man and a woman kneeling at a desk, and behind the man are represented nine sons and behind the woman eight daughters. Above, the arms of Mohun impaling Hyde. Below, is the following
