She was the 2nd wife of JEDEDIAH 1820 Oliver Mumford o f South Kingston is appointed guardian to the persons and estate of Nathaniel Briggs,Eliza Briggs,Colonel R Briggs, and Emeline Briggs(minors) children of SAMUEL BRIGGS. Oliver Munford (1778-1823) married Mary Whitehorn (1794-1840) buried S.K. brother-in law to Samuel. 1822 Around August JEDEDIAH BRIGGS ap pointed guardian to the persons and estates of Eliza Briggs,Ray Briggs, and Em eline Briggs children of SAMUEL BRIGGS late of South Kingston, he gave bond in the sum of $1000. with William Terry and Davis Mumford,sureties (from SK pro bate records Probate and Town Council Records Vol 1-3 1704-1743) JEDEDIAH D BRIGGS guardian to Eliza,Ray and Emeline Briggs minors and children of SAMUEL BRIGGS, deceased, having been empowered by the General Assembly to sell 3/5 o f 9 Shares in the Grist Mill at Mumford Mills (1932 name changed to Usquepaug Village SK Washington County on Usquepaug River south end of Glen Rock reserv oir) directed to sell the same in one rate,public or private sale, and that he invest the same in one public place in each of the towns of South Kingstown, Richmond and Exeter, and that he give bonds in the sum of one thousand doll ars, with Thomas R Hazard as surety for the lawful obligation of the monies of such sale 1823 For $192.36 JEDEDIAH BRIGGS to George W Hazard of Richmond 1/ 5 part of 9 Shares of corn mill plus water and water privilege.JEDEDIAH and FRANCES BRIGGS, 15 Apr 1823 (SK 13-512) also at same time Oliver Mumford sold a lot to George W Hazard of Richmond same area for $250 (SK 13-511) 1828 Sar ah Elizabeth Briggs born. 1828 In August FRANCES and JEDEDIAH BRIGGS sell 1/4 acre lot near Mumford Mills for $15 (SK 14 535)purchased 16 February 1828 fro m Ebenezer Smith for $10 (SK 14-534) bounded westerly by Jimmy Robinson,Thom as Hazard and Rowland Hazard 31 October 1828 to Issac T Hopkins from JEDEDIAH BRIGGS for $22 two lots near Mumford Mills including house on north side of road. signed by FRANCES and JEDEDIAH BRIGGS witness was STEPHEN ALBRO. During the Civil War made jerseys mill later burned (per Margery Shunke notes Aug 5,1988 to SFB) 1830 Census living in Westerly,Washington County,RI 1837 STEPHEN ALBRO's will dated 2 Apr 1837 South Kingston Washington County RI (1837 SK 10-201) states that FRANCES ALBRO was second wife of JEDEDIAH BRIGGS.
