    • WILLARD BENNER Willard C. Benner, 80, of Red Hill, formerly of Hereford and Absecon, N.J., and husband of Dorothy M. (Hall) Benner, died Oct. 22, 2005 in Frederick Mennonite Community. Born in Creamery, he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Ellen (Cramer) Benner. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during World War II and the Korean War. He was employed as an auto mechanic at Herm Pritchards Body Shop in Absecon from 1962 to 1974. Following that, he owned the Bill Benner Body Shop in Absecon for three years before retiring in 1978. Mr. Benner was a member of Hereford Mennonite Church in Bally. In addition to his wife, he is survived by twin sons, Bryan R. Benner, Sr. and his wife, Deborah, of Pennsburg and Bryce R. Benner, Sr. and his wife, Deanna, of Port Matilda, and a third son, Brad R. Benner and his wife, Lauri, of Slatington; two brothers, Joseph C. Benner of Birdsboro and Linford C. Benner of Souderton; five grandsons, Justin, Bryan Jr., Bryce Jr., Nathan and Alec Benner; and a granddaughter, Quinn Benner; two daughters, Kathryn and Patricia; five additional grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Edwin C., Christian C., Samuel C., Garret C. and Harvey C. Benner; and sisters, Mary Barbara C. Nice and Kathryn C. Benner. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, Oct. 27 at Hereford Mennonite Church, 2600 Old Route 100, Bally. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park in Pottstown. The calling hours will be from 9 to 11 AM, Thursday morning at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hereford Mennonite Church, PO Box 97, Bally, PA 19503. The Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home in East Greenville is in charge of the arrangements.
