- • John II de Mohun (1269-1330) (son). He was the first of his family who had summons to attend Parliament, in 1299, thereby being created by writ a baron.[25] He fought under Edward I (1272-1307) in the wars of Scotland and Gascony, and in 1300 was present at the Siege of Carlaverock. He appears in the Roll of Carlaverock, which blazons his (modern) armorials in ancient French verse as follows:[25]
"Jaune o crois noire engreelie
La portrait Johans de Mooun."
