    • HENRY GODSHALL Henry S. Godshall, formerly of Souderton, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 at the Rockhill Mennonite Community. He was 90. He and his wife, Grace (Derstine) Godshall, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in January. Born in Upper Salford Township, he was a son of the late Alvin and Susan (Springer) Godshall. Mr. Godshall worked in excavation with Derstine & Swartley of Telford for more than 30 years. He was a truck driver for Farm & Home Oil Company of Telford for 13 years, retiring in 1980. After retiring, he worked part time as a bus driver for Hagey Transportation Services for 13 years. He volunteered with the Rockhill Mennonite Community as a bus driver as well. Henry was a charter member of Calvary Church of Souderton where he had served as deacon, a former youth group leader and also taught Junior High boys Sunday school for more than 25 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Laverne D. Godshall and his wife, Linda, of Lynchburg, VA and Robert D. Godshall and his wife, Betty Lou, of New Albany; three daughters, Gladys Smith and her husband, Doug, of Vassar, MI, Ruth Ann Derstein and her husband, Wally, of Souderton and Mary Lou Gehman and her husband, Grant, of Knoxville; 18 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; three brothers, Norman Godshall and his wife, Esther, of Souderton, Alvin Godshall and his wife, Dorothy, of Bellefonte and Stanley Godshall and his wife, Rebecca, of Quakertown; and a sister, Mary Halteman of Harleysville. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Edith Benner, Mabel Haas, Naomi Yoder-Pyndyk and Eva Sheats. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 2 PM at the Calvary Church of Souderton, 820 Route 113, Souderton, PA 18964. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Rockhill Mennonite Community, 3250 State Road, Sellersville from 6 to 7:30 PM and again Wednesday at the Calvary Church from 12 PM to 1:30 PM, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Calvary Church of Souderton Missions Fund or the Childrens Education Building Fund, at the above address. Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home in Telford.
