She was a daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Derstine) Detweiler, being born in Montgomery Co., Pa. She united with the Church at Rockhill at the age of twenty-one; married March 19, 1902 (being his second wife) by Bishop Josiah Clemmer. Her health failed for the last few years. She was forced to bed twelve days prior to death on March 30, 1938, at her home. Funeral services were held at the Souderton Church. Text, Rev. 14:13. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Aged 74 y. 6 m. 27 d. Surviving besides the husband is an adopted daughter, Alverda, wife of Oswin F. Detweiler.
