Carolyn Z. "Carnie" MoyerÇ 87Ç of Elm Terrace Gardens in LansdaleÇ and a longtime North Penn area residentÇ died Oct. 13Ç 2006 in Doylestown Hospital. She was married for 64 years to the late Glenn Yoder MoyerÇ who died in NovemberÇ 2004.
Born in PhiladelphiaÇ she was a daughter of the late George Hamilton and Harriet (Evans) Zuch. She graduated from the former Lansdale High School in 1937 and attended Drexel Institute of Technology.
Mrs. Moyer was a homemaker and volunteer.
She was a member of the Church of the Messiah in GwyneddÇ where she served on the altar guild and sang in the choir.
She was a former board member of the North Wales Library and a member of the auxiliary at the former North Penn HospitalÇ now Central Montgomery Medical Center. She was an enthusiastic tennis player into her 70s. As an avid Brige playerÇ she was a member of the American Contract Bridge League. She also enjoyed knittingÇ reading and dining out. She was passionately involved in the lives of her grandchildrenÇ attending their sporting events and making as much time available as she could for them.
Surviving are a daughterÇ Candy Moyer of MillersvilleÇ MD; a son. Christopher G. Moyer and his wifeÇ BarbaraÇ of Blue Bell; five grandchildrenÇ Amelia Carolyn CiambruschiniÇ Joshua Rittenhouse FretzÇ Andrew Todd MoyerÇ Kathryn Elise Moyer and Stefanie Aryn Moyer; a great-grandsonÇ Nicholas Joshua Ciambruschini; and two sistersÇ Anne Gertrude Gessner of BranfordÇ CT and Harriet "Sunny" Rosamond and her husbandÇ BillÇ of Dallas TX.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 PMÇ FridayÇ Oct. 20 in the Church of the MessiahÇ Route 202Ç Gwynedd. The family will fellowship with friends following the service. In lieu of flowersÇ contributions in her memory may be made to the John M. Fisher Endowment FundÇ c/o Elm Terrace GardensÇ 660 N Broad St.Ç LansdaleÇ PA 19446. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home in Lansdale.
