  Notes	NOTE: "Woman Observes 90th Birthday. STERLING-- More than 100 relatives, neighbors and others gathered at the Sterling Hill Baptist Church Sunday afternoon to help Miss Annie Bitgood celebrate her 90th birthday. The observance was arranged by the Women'sSociety of the church and guests attended from Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Jersey. A special cake with the inscription, Happy Birthday Annie B. adorned the head table. Highlight of the program was a talk by Herman Frink. He noted theguest of honor, a native of Sterling, has been attending the same church for 80 years and had been a Sunday School teacher for 30 years. Frink, a Democrat member of the Sterling Board of Selectmen, chided her for being a registered Republican for 53 years. Miss Bitgood, who lives on Rte. 14A in the Ekonk Sector of Sterling, was the recipient of many gifts, flowers, cards and a sum of money" (Norwich [CT] Bulletin, 31 October 1972).
