- Arnold with his brother Johannes' family were the first Cassel immigrants to America. They arrived in Germantown, PA on November 20, 1686. After a couple of years in Germantown, he set out for free land in the western part of Pennsylvania. It was rumored that he was killed by Indians, and nothing more was heard from him.
